LMU's PA program in Knoxville has a surgical focus and is built around a rich curriculum, providing a sturdy foundation in primary care medicine. The average class in the program seats 100 students, and you can be assured that each and every student receives hands-on education and assistance from our skilled faculty.
To earn your master's degree and to go to work as PA, you will be required to complete 115 credit hours over the course of 27 months. During that time, you will complete three semesters of human cadaver anatomy and up to 20 weeks of clinical experience in surgical disciplines, ultimately preparing you to providing safe, effective and quality care to patients in surgical and acute care settings.

At Lincoln Memorial University, our SMS-Knoxville PA program follows what is called a "rolling admissions cycle." This means that your application will be reviewed once it has been received by the program. If you possess a stronger academic profile, you are more likely to be selected for a student applicant interview. Before you can be considered for a student applicant interview, you must first submit the following:
Once you have been selected for a student applicant interview, you will be contacted either by phone or email to schedule your interview. Once you have completed one or more student applicant interview sessions, the Admissions Committee will choose to offer admission, place you on a waitlist, or decline the offer of admission.
Following your interview, the Admissions Committee will notify you of their decision in writing as soon as possible. With student applicant interviews continuing until the maximum class size (100 students) is reached, we recommend you complete your application early in the CASPA cycle.
